Jack Fellows: Douglas F-3D2 Skyknight The Douglas F3D-2 Skyknight made history on November 2, 1953, when it scored the first-ever jet nighttime air-to-air kill -- shooting down a North Korean Yak-15 fighter. Ultimately, the Skyknight downed more enemy aircraft than any other Navy or Marine fighter in Korea.
