Gene Jarvis: Azorina vidalii/Bellflower The Bellflower or Azorina vidalii, is a small shrub which bears shiny leaves that exude a white, milky substance. The Bellflower prefers a basaltic lava habitat. The Bellflower blooms in August and September each year and, as its name implies, produces large clusters of attractive bell-shaped flowers. These are usually rosy-pink, but occasionally flowers bloom in white.
