Kristin Rosenberg: Queen's Birthday; Rose Pincushion Rose Pincushion Mammillaria zeilmanniana is a cactus which flowers profusely and is also the member of a very large species of over 200 varieties. Only growing to the height of about 8 inches, these plants need to be turned at regular intervals to encourage flowering. Mammallaria is a very popular house plant as there are many colors from which to choose. Propagation is through seeds or sprouts. Some of the rarer species may need to be grafted.
