A diurnal hunter, the Mongoose is most famous for its snake fighting ability. However, its efficiency at predation does not end with snakes. It tracks down a wide variety of prey from insects to rabbits. The Mongoose travels in groups most of the year and was once held sacred in its native Egypt.
