The Bilberry bush sparkles with green angled stems and round flowers. Its berries are black with blue waxy bloom, though the wax is sometimes absent. The Bilberry belongs to the Heath family which includes a great many delightful wood plants, including the wintergreen, the mountain laurel, and the blueberry and huckleberry of North America.
