Liz Butler
British 1948 -

Liz Butler was born in 1948, and attended art at the Liverpool College of Art and at the Royal College of Art. After completing her studies, she began a career in freelance illustration, creating designs for a variety of clients, including Sunday Times Magazine, William Sommerville Papermakers, Trigram Press, Conway Group Graphics and Francis Lincoln Publishers. In 1980, Butler began creating illustrations for a nature book published by William Collins Publishers called The Seasons. She traveled throughout Great Britain researching the region and compiling drawings, sketches and paintings. The result was a spectacular book featuring Britain's scenic landscapes and diverse plant and wildlife. Butler's works are frequently exhibited at the Frances Kyle Gallery in London.
