| John Swatsley American 1937 - A former student of Los Angeles,
California's, Art Center College of Design, John Swatsley is an accomplished painter and illustrator who has traveled across the United States and Canada sketching and photographing wildlife,
and gathering source material for his paintings. Adept at depicting a variety of subjects, including cars, aircraft and famous personalities, Swatsley is particularly skilled at portraying
trains and has worked for Trains Magazine and Amtrak Express. "In painting as well as illustration," Swatsley says, "I feel that the mood and character of a subject, whether it is animate or
inanimate, should present itself to the viewer so the viewer is transported to the time and place that the artist is presenting. I have been an artist all my life, and have never really thought
of going into any other field." | Log Off | Home | Feedback | Mailing List | About Us | What's New | Stamp Agencies | Other Sites Customer Service | Site Search | Shopping Cart | My Personal Art Gallery | Terms of Use | Trademarks
