(Mr.) Xu Yanbo
Chinese 1943 -

One of China's most celebrated artists, Xu Yanbo designs stamps for the China Stamp Corporation. He is also a member of the China Artist Association. Born in 1943 in Jin County, Hepei Province, Xu graduated from Central Art College in Beijing, later finishing post-graduate work at the same college. Xu has been engaged in painting and stamp design for many years. Some of his most popular stamp designs include Snow Leopard, David's Deer, The Emei Mountains Sight and Renshen Year. He has won best prize for stamp design twice, and his work has been displayed in numerous exhibits throughout China. Many of Xu's paintings are part of the collection of the China Art Gallery. This gifted Chinese artist creates detailed designs that capture the beauty of wildlife in their natural habitat. Xu's talent is apparent in his charming watercolor-on-silk paintings for Unicover featuring the Koala and the Panda.
